How to Group Shapes in Microsoft Word 2007
1. Click the "Insert" tab and click "Shapes" in the Illustrations grouping. Click "New Drawing Canvas" at the bottom of the list.
2. Paste in the shapes you want to group together. You can also click any shape in the Insert Shapes grouping and then click the canvas to paste it there.
3. Click one of the shapes you want to group. Press and hold the "Shift" key and click each of the other shapes you want to group with the first.
4. Click "Group" in the Arrange grouping on the Format tab. Then click "Group" again.
5. Click the group of shapes and drag it off the canvas. Click the canvas area to highlight it again and press the "Delete" button on your keyboard to delete it. Now you can move the group of shapes anywhere you want in your document.
