Microsoft Word 2007 Won't Automatically Insert the Current Date


1. Open Microsoft Word 2007. Then press 'Ctrl' and 'O' on the keyboard to open a Word document.
2. Scroll the document down or up to find a place where you need to insert the date.
3. Click the program toolbar 'Insert,' and then select 'Date & Time' in the section 'Text.'
4. Select a desired format for the date, for example, '1-Aug-10,' from the list of available formats.
5. Click on the box 'Update automatically,' and click 'OK.'
