How to Locate a Word Auto Recover File

1. Open the Microsoft Word program.
2. Click on the Office button, then click on the 'Word Options' button.
3. Look under the section 'Save Documents' for a field titled 'AutoRecover File location' to find the location of your backed-up Word files. Write this information down.
4. Use the Browse button to change the location of the AutoRecover File, if you want to use a different location. Close or minimize Word.
5. Click on 'Computer' on your desktop, then 'C' and follow the file path listed to locate your auto-recovered files.
