How to Edit an AutoText Entry in Microsoft Word
1. Start Microsoft Word and open an existing document from your files. If preferred, open an existing document that you can use to edit AutoText entries.
2. Place your cursor within the document text where you would like to insert the edited AutoText entry.
3. Choose the 'Insert' menu, point to 'AutoText' and click to select the AutoText entry you want to edit. The entry will be inserted into your document at the cursor.
4. Alter the AutoText entry. When finished, select and highlight the edited AutoText entry.
5. Open the 'Insert' menu, click 'AutoText' and click 'New' to open the 'Create AutoText' dialog box.
6. Type the name you want to give the new AutoText entry and click the 'OK' button to close the dialog box and save the edited AutoText entry.
