How to Adjust the Print Area in Word 2007

Main Print Area
1. Click the 'Page Layout' tab on the ribbon.
2. Click the 'Margins' button, which opens a drop-down menu.
3. Click 'Narrow' to expand the print area, click 'Wide' to decrease the print area or click 'Normal' to use a standard-sized print area. Or, click 'Custom Margins'; on the menu that pops up, type new numbers in the 'Top,' 'Bottom,' 'Left' and 'Right' fields to set new margin sizes, then click 'OK.'
Header and Footer Print Area
4. Click the 'Page Layout' tab.
5. Click the downward diagonal arrow in the lower right corner of the 'Page Setup' group, on the ribbon. This launches the Page Setup dialog box.
6. Click the 'Layout' tab on the Page Setup dialog box.
7. Type new values in the 'Header' and 'Footer' fields, next to the label 'From Edge' and under the heading 'Headers and Footers.' Typing a smaller number will place the header and footer text closer to your printer's nonprinting area or possibly inside that area. Typing a larger number will move the header and footer text farther from the nonprinting area, helping ensure that it falls inside the print area.
8. Click 'OK.'
