1. Use the resources link to access the download from Microsoft. Click on the resources link on the bottom of this article labeled “Download Word 2003 Compatibility Update.”
2. Make sure that you have the other updates you need before installing this one. Click on the “High Priority Microsoft Updates” link under resources. Download and install any that Microsoft recommends prior to installing this update.
3. Click to download the software. In the website page that opens, click on the “Download” button to start the process.
4. A file download properties box will open. Click on “Save” and then browse to your desktop and save the download file.
