How to Compress Pictures in a Word Document
Compressing a Picture using Microsoft Office
1. Launch your Microsoft Word document.
2. Scroll through the document and click the picture you want to compress. Click 'Picture Tools' in the 'Format' tab. Click 'Compress Pictures' in the adjust group.
3. Select the 'Apply to selected pictures only' check-box to compress the selected picture and not all the pictures in the document.
4. Click 'Options' and click the 'Automatically perform basic compression on save' check-box under 'Compression options.'
5. Click the 'File' menu and click 'Save' to complete the image compression.
Compressing a Picture using Microsoft Office Picture Manager
6. Launch Microsoft Office Picture Manager. Microsoft Office Picture Manager enables you to compress images for Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
7. Click the 'Picture' menu and click 'Compress Pictures.' Click 'Documents' under 'Compress for' and select the picture you want to compress.
8. Click 'OK' to compress the image for your Microsoft Word document.
