How to Create Business Cards in Microsoft Word 2007

1. Open the Microsoft Word 2007 program by locating it in your 'Start' menu. Microsoft Word is located under the 'Microsoft Office' folder in your program files. You can also type 'winword.exe' into your computer's 'Run' utility to initiate the program.
2. Click on the Windows icon located in the upper left-hand corner of the window. Select 'New' from the drop-down menu. Under the 'Templates' pane on the left-hand side, select 'Business Cards.' Click on the blue 'Print business cards' link in the main window pane to view thumbnails of available business card templates.
3. Select a template that is compatible with the type of business card stock you are using and click on the 'Download' button on the right-hand side of the window. If the template was submitted to Microsoft by a community member, you will also need to click the 'I Accept' button to acknowledge that the template was not created by Microsoft.
4. Insert your contact information into the business cards. Include your full name, phone number, fax number, address, company name, website address and email address.
5. Click on the 'Insert' tab and select the 'Picture' or 'Clip Art' button in the toolbar to insert a graphic. The 'Picture' option allows you to select a picture file from your computer, while the 'Clip Art' button allows you to select a Microsoft Office Clip Art file. Select your desired graphic and click 'Insert.' With your graphic highlighted, click on the 'Text-Wrapping' button in the toolbar. Select 'In Front of Text' to bring your graphic to the front of any other layers in the business card template. If you want your image to appear behind the text, select 'Behind Text.' Place the graphic in the desired area of your business card. Right-click on the graphic and select 'Copy' to copy the graphic. Right-click on additional business cards and select 'Paste' to insert the graphic into multiple business cards.
6. Click the 'Print' button from the drop-down menu attached to the Windows icon. Insert your card stock into your printer and click on the 'OK' button to print your business cards.
