How to Change the Orientation of Text in Microsoft Word

1. Create a text box by going to 'Insert' on the toolbar and selecting 'Text Box' from the drop-down menu. You should see a box appear within your document. If you're changing the orientation of text within a table you can skip to Step 3, otherwise, continue to Step 2.
2. Draw a text box within the box that reads, 'Create Your Drawing ere,' by placing your cursor at the upper-left corner of the box and dragging until the box is large enough.
3. Write the text you want to reorient. If you're changing text within a table or other object, select the text.
4. Select 'Format' from the toolbar and then 'Text Direction' within the drop-down menu. This brings up another screen in which you may select the direction you want your text to read. Once you've decided on a direction, click 'OK.'
5. Change the font, size and color of the text and resize the text box, table cell or other drawing object to fit your document.
