How to Insert a Footer on Only One Page in Microsoft Word


1. Click at the very end of the page that sits immediately before the page that you want to display the footer.
2. Click the Page Layout tab on the Ribbon. Click the 'Breaks' icon, in the upper right corner of the Page Setup group. On the drop-down menu, click 'Next Page.'
3. Click at the very bottom of the page you want to display the footer, at the end of all the text and other content.
4. Click the 'Breaks' icon again, and then click 'Next Page' again.
5. Click the 'Insert' tab on the Ribbon. Click the 'Footer' button; on the drop-down menu, click 'Edit Footer.'
6. Click the 'Link to Previous' button, in the Navigation group on the Ribbon.
7. Scroll down to the next page; click on the footer on that page. Click the 'Link to Previous' button again.
8. Scroll back up to the page that you want to display the footer, and click on the footer.
9. Type the text you want to appear in the footer.
10. Click the button labeled 'Close Header and Footer.'
