How to Remove Double Spacing in Word 2007
Change Only the Line Spacing
1. Click in the document so that the cursor appears somewhere in the lines of text.
2. Highlight the entire document by pressing 'Ctrl' and 'A' at the same time on your keyboard.
3. Click the 'Home' tab or the 'Page Layout' tab. In lower right corner of the 'Paragraph' module, click the small arrow pointing toward the lower right corner. The 'Paragraph' menu will pop up.
4. Open the drop-down menu titled 'Line spacing,' under the heading 'Spacing,' under the 'Indents and Spacing' tab. To open the menu, click the arrow next to the option 'Double.'
5. Click to select the 'Single' option -- or whatever other option you prefer.
6. Click the 'OK' button at the bottom of the pop-up menu.
