1. Click the Windows 'Start' button and select the 'Control Panel' option.
2. Click the 'Regions and Language' option.
3. Click the 'Keyboards and Languages' option and then click 'Change Keyboards.'
4. Click the 'Default Language' drop-down box in the 'General' section of the 'Text Services and Input Languages' dialog box. Select a language other than Chinese. The language set as default cannot be removed, so another language must be selected in this input box.
5. Click 'OK.'
6. Click the 'Change Keyboards' option again to reopen the 'Text Services and Input Languages' dialog box.
7. Locate the 'Chinese' language entry in the 'Installed Services' box in the 'General' section of the dialog box. Click the 'Remove' button.
