How to Write Root in Office Word


1. Click 'Insert' from Word's menu bar.
2. Click 'Symbol' from the 'Symbols' tab.
3. Click 'More symbols...' from the drop-down menu. This opens the 'Symbols' dialog box.
4. Select 'Mathematical Operators' from the 'Subset:' drop-down menu.
5. Click the root symbol, which is the fourth symbol in the third row.
6. Click the 'Insert' button.
