How to Convert Word Perfect Documents to Microsoft Office


1. Open Microsoft Word 2007.
2. Click the 'File' menu and select the 'Open' option.
3. Navigate to the folder containing your Word Perfect file in the 'Open' window. You should not see the Word Perfect document in the list of files.
4. Click the drop-down menu next to the 'File Name' box and change it from 'All Word Documents' to 'Wordperfect 5.x.' If you still don't see the document in the list, change it to 'Wordperfect 6.x.'
5. Select the Word Perfect document from the list and click the 'Open' button. This will open the file in Word.
6. Click the 'File' menu and select the 'Save As...' option. In the window that opens, make sure that the 'Save as Type' drop-down menu is set to 'Word Document.'
7. Select a location to save your file and give it a name.
8. Click the 'Save' button, and the file will be converted to the latest Microsoft Word format and saved.
