How to Get Rid of the Paragraph Symbol

1. Open Word 2010. Select the 'File' tab. Choose 'Options' under the 'Help' section. Click 'Display.' Remove the check mark from the paragraph box in the 'Always Show These Formatting Marks On the Screen' section.
2. Open Word 2007. Click the 'Microsoft Office' button in the top left corner of the window. Select 'Word Options' from the menu. Choose 'Display.' Remove the check mark from the paragraph box in the 'Always Show These Formatting Marks On the Screen' section.
3. Open Word 2003. Click 'Options' on the 'Tools' menu. Select the 'View' tab. Clear the check mark from the 'Paragraph Marks' box under the 'Formatting Marks' section.
