How to Put Photoshop Files in Word

1. Open the file in Adobe Photoshop. Click “File” and choose “Save as.” Choose “JPEG” or “GIF” from the format pull-down menu. (Please see the Tip section if you have questions on what type of file format is best for you.) Choose a location on your hard drive to save the file and click “Save.” Close Photoshop.
2. Open a document in Microsoft Word. Click “Insert” on the menu bar and locate the file that you just saved. Click on it and select “Insert.” The image will appear in the Word document. Double-click on the image to open the picture formatting tools.
3. Click “Position” and select one of the word wrapping options if you also have text on the page. These options will allow you to place the picture anywhere on the page without blocking any of the text.
4. Left-click in the middle of the picture to readjust its position if you don't need to use word wrap. The mouse pointer will turn into a four-way arrow. Left-click and hold to drag the picture into place.
5. Click on one of the picture’s round side anchors to adjust its size. Left-click on the anchor and hold. You can make the picture smaller by dragging the anchor towards the center of the picture. You can make the picture larger by dragging the anchor away from the center of the picture.
6. Click “File” and select “Save” to save the changes you have made to the Word document.
