How to Change the Text Direction in Microsoft Word 2007


1. Open Word and create a new document.
2. Click the 'Insert' tab on the ribbon at the top of the screen.
3. Click 'Text Box.' A menu will open. Click the 'Draw Text Box' button at the bottom of the menu.
4. Click an empty area in the document where you want the text box to appear. Hold down the left mouse button and drag the mouse cursor to draw a text box.
5. Release the mouse button and type text into the text box.
6. Click 'Format' and then click 'Text Direction.' A panel will open and display different text direction options such as 'Rotate all text 90 degrees' and 'Rotate all text 270 degrees.'
7. Click one of the options to apply it. Word 2007 will change the orientation of the text.
