How to Delete all Footnotes at Once in Word
1. Start Microsoft Word 2007 and open a document from your files that contains footnotes that you want to delete all at once.
2. Click the 'Home' tab at the top of the Word 2007 screen to display the Home ribbon.
3. Select the 'Replace' button from the 'Editing' section of the Home ribbon. The Find and Replace dialog box will open onto the screen with the 'Replace' tab displayed at the top.
4. Type '^f' (without the quotes) in the 'Find what' text box in the Find and Replace dialog box. This instructs Word to search for footnotes within the document.
5. Verify that the 'Replace with' text box is blank. This instructs Word to delete the footmarks that it finds in the document.
6. Click the 'Replace All' button at the bottom. Word will find and delete all the footnotes within the document.
7. Choose the 'Cancel' button to close the Find and Replace dialog box after the footnotes have deleted.
