How to Type Telugu in a Word Document

1. Open the Start Menu and click 'Control Panel.' Open 'Regional and Language Options' and then click 'Change keyboards or other input methods.' Click the 'Change keyboards' button.
2. Click 'Add' to add a new input language. Scroll down the list until you find 'Telugu.' Click the '+' symbol to open up the sub-menu. Open the keyboard sub-menu. Check the box for the keyboard layout of your choice: Hindu Traditional or Telugu. Click 'OK' when done and click 'OK' once more to close the language and region window.
3. Open Microsoft Word and create a new document. Click on the language section of the taskbar. This is characterized by a two-letter language code for the currently selected input language. For example, English is abbreviated as 'EN.' Click the button to choose 'Telugu (India),' or 'TE' for short. For fast keyboard switching, you may press 'Alt' and 'Shift' to cycle through the available keyboard layouts. Return to Microsoft Word and start typing in Telugu.
