How to Make a Brochure on Open Office


Traditional Tri-Fold Brochure
1. Open the Open Office Writer application.
2. Type the entire text of the inside of your brochure.
3. Click on the 'Format' menu option.
4. Select the 'Page' option.
5. Select the 'Page' tab if it is not already selected.
6. Change the page orientation from portrait to landscape.
7. Change the margins to 0.75 inch.
8. Click the 'Format' menu option.
9. Select the 'Columns' option.
10. Select the icon representing the three-column display.
11. Apply any graphics (such as pictures) and any additional formatting that you desire.
12. Open a new document.
13. Repeat Steps 2 through 12 for the other side of your brochure.

14. Open the Open Office Writer application.
15. Repeat Steps 3 through 8 of Section 1.
16. Type the heading or title of your brochure for the inside cover.
17. Click on the 'Insert' menu option.
18. Select the 'Table' option.
19. Input data to create a three-column-by-one-row table.
20. De-select the border box.
21. Click 'OK.'
22. Write the text for each separate column of the brochure.
23. Apply any formatting or graphics you desire.
24. Open a new document with the same page dimensions by repeating Steps 2 through 7.
25. Repeat Steps 9 through 15 for the outside cover of your brochure.
