How to Line Up Bullets With Left Alignment
In Word
1. Go to Microsoft Word and open the document ('File' and 'Open') you want to modify. Then click on 'View' and 'Ruler' to make the ruler visible.
2. Select the text containing the bullets you want to align along the left and click on the 'Decrease Indent' button in the 'Formatting' toolbar to move the bullets as far left as possible.
3. Drag the 'First Line Indent' marker in the ruler to the '0' mark on the page. To line up the text in the paragraph attached to that bullet, drag the 'Left Tab' marker on the ruler to the left as well.
In WordPad
4. Open the document containing the bullets in WordPad by clicking on 'File' and 'Open.'
5. Make the ruler visible by clicking on the 'View' tab and adding a check mark to 'Ruler.'
6. Select the text containing the bullets you want to align. Then click on the 'Home' tab and select the 'Decrease Indent' button from the Paragraph group.
7. Line up the bullets manually by going to the ruler and dragging the 'First Line Indent' marker to the '0' mark.
