How to Use Microsoft Office to Create Flyers

1. Open Microsoft Office Publisher. Select 'New' from the File Menu, if the Design Wizard (Publishing Catalog) does not automatically open.
2. Go down the list until you find 'Flyers' listed. Click on Flyers to expand the available pre-designed flyer menu.
3. Look over the flyers shown to find one similar to what you need. Choose one of the flyers that will work and click on 'Start Wizard' to begin.
4. Notice the flyer shown on the right side of the window. Changes in the flyer design you choose in the wizard will be shown immediately. Click 'Next.'
5. Change the color scheme of the flyer through selecting one from the scroll bar on the left side. Click on 'Next' after you have selected the color scheme for the flyer.
6. Select 'Yes' if you want to add a placeholder for a graphic or 'No,' if you do not need one. Click 'Next' again.
7. Decide if you want any other elements added to the flyer design, such as tear-offs, coupons, sign-up forms or so on. Choose 'None,' if you do not and then 'Next.'
8. Select 'Yes' if you want to add a placeholder for a customers address on the flyer. Choose 'No' if you do not. Click 'Next.'
9. Pick the personal information you want to use for the flyer from the options shown, such as Primary Business, Secondary Business, Home/Family or Other Organization. If you need to insert or alter any details, click on the 'Update' button and make changes necessary.
10. Click 'Finish' to complete the Microsoft Publisher Wizard. Check the finished flyer shown and go back to any of the previous steps through selecting it from the list on the left.
11. Edit the text displayed on the flyer by selecting it and making any changes needed. Remove any parts of the flyer by highlighting them and then deleting them.
12. Double-click on any of the graphics or pictures to replace them with other ones from the clipart library or on your computer. Add more text with the 'Text Frame Tool' or more pictures with the 'Picture Frame Tool.'
13. Save a copy of the flyer you created, if you will need to use it again. Print the flyer as needed.
