How to Print on Index Cards in Microsoft Word
1. Open a new Microsoft Word document. On the top menu bar of Microsoft Word, select "File" and then "New Blank Document."
2. Select the correct paper size. On the top menu bar, select "File" and then "Page Setup." A new window will appear. Click on the arrow next to "Paper Size" and a list of available paper sizes will appear. On that list, you have the choice of two sizes of index cards. Select either the 3- by 5-inch index card or the 5- by 8-inch index card. Click "OK."
3. Select the orientation of the index card. On the top menu bar, select "File" and then "Page Setup." A new window will appear. Select either landscape or portrait. Click "OK."
4. Adjust the margins of the index card. On the top menu bar, select "Format" and then "Document." A new window will appear. Select "Margins" in the new window. Adjust the top, bottom, left and right margins to your preference. Click "OK."
5. Type whatever you want to type in the index card in the same way that you would type any other Word document.
6. Print the index card. Put a blank index card into your printer's paper tray by following your printer's instructions. In Word, select "File" and then "Print." Make sure that the correct printer is chosen and then click "Print." Your index card will print.
