How to Adjust Column Width in Microsoft Word


1. Go to the View menu and select Page Layout.
2. Click in the section you want to change, if your document is divided into sections.
3. Highlight the text in the column whose width you want to change, if your document is not divided into sections.
4. Use the mouse to drag the column markers to the correct width position on the ruler at the top of the window.
