How to View Hidden Text in a Word Document

1. Click 'Start,' 'All Programs,' open your Microsoft Office Folder and then launch Microsoft Word.
2. Click 'File' or the Microsoft Office button, click 'Open,' browse your computer for the word document containing hidden text, left click on it and then click 'Open.'
3. Click on the Show/Hide button (¶) to show hidden text. The Show/Hide button is in the standard toolbar in Word 2003 and can be found under the 'Home' tab under the 'Paragraph' group in Word 2007.
4. Hold the control key and press the 'A' key to select all text in the document, right-click on the selected text, choose 'Font,' uncheck the option called 'Hidden,' and click 'OK.' This will eliminate the hidden text formatting so that you will be able to view the hidden text even if you turn off the Show/Hide feature.
