How to Create a Hyperlink in Microsoft Word
1. Open Microsoft Word 2010. Click the 'File' tab. Click 'Open,' select the document in which you want to create hyperlinks, and double-click the file.
2. Scroll to the page with the text segment to hyperlink.
3. Highlight the text to hyperlink. Right-click the highlight. Select 'Hyperlink.' The 'Insert Hyperlink' window appears.
4. Type the Web address for the hyperlink -- the page on the Internet where the Word document reader will be taken after clicking the link, or the location of the file to link to -- into the 'Address' box at the bottom of the window.
5. Click the 'OK' button to close the window and return to the document. Note that the hyperlinked area is now blue with an underline. Hover your cursor over the blue area and note a small yellow pop-up with the link address.
