How to Turn Off Automatic Numbered List in Word 2007
1. Launch Microsoft Word.
2. Click on the 'Office' button, found at the top left of the Word window, then click on the 'Word Options' button, found at the bottom of the menu that appears. This will open the Word options window.
3. Click on 'Proofing' in the list of the left of the window.
4. Click on the 'Autocorrect Options' button. This will open a second window with autocorrect options.
5. Click the 'Autoformat As You Type' tab.
6. Remove the check mark from the 'Automatic numbered lists' check box, found under the 'Apply as you type' header.
7. Click 'OK' to close the autocorrect options window and apply your changes. Click 'OK' again to close the Word options window.
