How to Make the Euro Symbol in MS Word 2007
Select the Symbol
1. Open a Microsoft Word 2007 document.
2. Place your cursor where you want to insert the euro symbol.
3. Click the 'Insert' tab. In the Symbols group, click 'Symbol.' Click 'More Symbols.'
4. Click the 'Font' menu in the Symbols dialog box. Select the font you want to use, or already are using, in your document.
5. Select 'Unicode (hex)' from the 'from:' menu in the bottom-right corner. Click the 'Subset' menu in the top-right corner if the font has one. Select 'Currency Symbols' to narrow down the symbol choices.
6. Select the euro symbol which looks like the letter C with two horizontal lines across the middle. If you don't recognize it, enter '20AC,' the code for the euro sign, in the 'Character code' box.
7. Click 'Insert.'
Use the Keyboard Shortcut
8. Open a Microsoft Word 2007 document.
9. Place your cursor where you want to insert the euro symbol.
10. Press 'Alt' on your keyboard while entering '0128' on the numeric keypad. This is the shortcut key with standard United States keyboards. Word will automatically insert the euro symbol using the font that is currently selected.
