How to Scale a Word Document to a Different Paper Size

1. Bring up your Word document. Click on the 'Start' menu. Go to 'All Programs.' Locate Microsoft Word in the drop-down list of programs that are present.
2. Click 'File' once the Word program has appeared. Then go to 'Open' and bring up the file you wish to scale.
3. Click on 'File' again. Then open 'Page Setup.' This will bring you to options that will allow you to change the page size as well as the layout and margins.
4. Click on the 'Paper' tab. Under the paper size option, you can change three things. These are the type of document, the width and height of the page.
5. Decide on what type of document you want to scale the paper size. You have the choice of six different styles. These include letter, tabloid, legal, A3, A4 and A5. At the bottom of the window, you can see a preview of what the page will look like. Click on 'A5' to see what type of page that will give you.
6. Change the width and height of the page. You can customize the page size that you desire by changing the margins. Again, once it is changed, you can preview what it will look like. You can also choose what you wish to apply the changes to. This could be the whole document or a part of it.
7. Click 'OK' once you have the exact page size customized. Your document that is up is now set at the specifications that you chose.
