How to Add New Clip Art to Microsoft Clip Organizer


Device-Based Clip Art
1. Click 'Start' and go to 'Programs' or 'All Programs,' 'Microsoft Office,' 'Microsoft Office Tools' or 'Microsoft Office (Year) Tools' and then 'Microsoft Clip Organizer' to open the Microsoft Clip Organizer.
2. Go to 'File' at the top of the Microsoft Clip Organizer window. Go to 'Add Clips to Organizer' on the File drop-down menu and then select 'On My Own...' to open the 'Favorites --- Add Clips to Organizer' window; or 'From Scanner or Camera...' to open the 'Insert Picture from Scanner or Camera' window to select a location from which to pull new clip art.
3. Add clip art to the Clip Organizer. If you're selecting the art from a file folder on your computer or an external hard drive, select a file from the options and then click the 'Add' button. If you're selecting art from a scanner or camera, select the device type from the 'Device' drop-down menu, select a resolution -- Web or print quality -- and then click the 'Insert' button.

4. Open the Clip Organizer on your computer by clicking 'Start' and then going to 'Programs' or 'All Programs,' 'Microsoft Office,' 'Microsoft Office Tools' or 'Microsoft Office (Year) Tools' and then 'Microsoft Clip Organizer.'
5. Select 'Collection List' on the toolbar and then select 'Office Collections' to show all available Office clip art categories.
6. Click any of the clip art categories to reveal the available art. Click and drag an image from the preview pane to one of your 'My Collection' folders and then release the mouse or trackpad key or your fingertip to drop the image into the folder.

7. Open the Microsoft Clip Organizer on your computer.
8. Go to 'Tools' at the top of the Clip Organizer window and select 'Clips online' from the drop-down menu; or click the 'Clips Online' button on the toolbar.
9. Look through the available images and then click a clip art image that you want to add to the Clip Organizer. Click the 'Copy' button to copy the image. Select a collections folder in Clip Organizer and click 'Paste' on the 'Edit' drop-down menu, or click 'Ctrl' + 'V,' to save the image.
