How to Make DVD Covers

1.
Open Word. Click the Office button in Word 2007 and then click 'New.' In prior versions, click 'File' on the toolbar and then click on 'New.' Type 'DVD Case Insert' into the 'Search Online For' box in the task pane and click 'Go.' In Word 2007, click 'Microsoft Office Online' and search for 'DVD Case Insert.'
2.
Select the 'CD/DVD Case Insert' template. Click the 'Download' button. The template will open as a new Word document.
3.
Click inside the 'Add Text and Graphics for Front of CD/DVD Case Insert Here' text box. Select the example text and delete it. Insert a clipart graphic or a picture from your computer. Go to the 'Insert' tab in 2007 and click 'Picture' or 'Clip Art.' Go to the 'Insert' menu in 2003 or earlier versions. Point to 'Picture' and select 'From File' or 'Clip Art.' Find a picture you want to use and insert it.
4.
Insert a text box on top of the graphic if you want to add words to the front of the DVD cover. Go to the 'Insert' tab of the Word 2007 ribbon or the 'Insert' menu of the 2003 or earlier toolbar and select 'Text Box.' Click where you want to place it. Right-click the text box and click 'Format Text Box.' On the 'Colors and Lines' tab, choose 'No Fill' in the 'Color' menu and 'No Line' in the 'Line' dropdown menu. Type in the desired text.
5.
Repeat for the back cover. Enter information into the text boxes labeled 'Enter Text for CD/DVD Spine Here.' Print the DVD cover and insert it into the DVD's jewel case.
