How to Configure Block Format in Microsoft Word 2007

1. Launch Microsoft Word 2007. Click the 'Office' button followed by 'Open' to open an existing Word document, or click 'New' to start a new document.
2. Click 'SmartArt' in the 'Illustrations' group on the 'Insert' tab in the program's main menu ribbon.
3. Click 'List' from the options in the 'Choose a SmartArt Graphic' gallery.
4. Double-click 'Vertical Block List' to add the graphic to the document page.
5. Click '[Text]' in the 'Text Pane' and type the text you want to include in the graphic. Alternatively, edit or enter text by clicking the text box on the graphic in the document. You can also copy text from another program or document and paste it into the box on the graphic.
6. Click the vertical block list graphic in the document to highlight it. To add another box, click the arrow icon under 'Add Shape' in the 'Create Graphic' group under 'SmartArt Tools' in the main program menu's 'Design' tab. Select 'Add Shape After' or 'Add Shape Before' to add the box to your preferred location. To delete a box, click and highlight the box and then press the 'Delete' key on your computer keyboard. To move a box, click it and drag it to the correct position.
