How to Convert RTF to Word 2007 RTF

Opening an RTF File
1. Open Microsoft Word 2007 and click “Open Office” in the upper left-hand corner. You will see a drop-down list of options.
2. Click “Open.” This opens up a dialog box that shows your files. You may need to navigate to where your RTF file is located.
3. Click “Open” or double-click on the file once you have located it. Your document should appear on your screen. You can now edit the file. You can continue to save the file as an RTF file or you can use the "Save As" feature to save the file as a Word file.

5. Click “Save As.” This brings up a "Save As" dialog box. Toward the bottom of the box, you will see a "Save as Type" drop-down menu. Click on the “down arrow” in the "Save as Type" menu.
6. Scroll down and click on “Rich Text Format (*.rtf).” Type in the name of the file and click “Save.” You have now saved the file as an RTF file and it is ready to send to another user.
