How to Customize Word 2007 Tabs
Show Developer Tab
1. Open Microsoft Word 2007. Select the Microsoft Office Button and click on 'Word Options.'
2. Display the 'Developer' tab within tabs by clicking on the 'Popular' category.
3. Place a checkmark by 'Show Developer tab in the Ribbon' and click on 'OK.' The 'Developer' tab will now be visible in your Word 2007 tabs.
Move Objects Above or Below Tabs
4. Click on the Office button and select 'Word Options.'
5. Choose the 'Customize' category in the 'Word Options' window.
6. Place checkmark by 'Show Quick Access toolbar below the Ribbon' for that option, or remove the checkmark to leave the Quick Access Toolbar above the Ribbon. Then click on 'OK.'
7. Minimize the Ribbon by right-clicking on it and selecting 'Minimize the Ribbon' to hide it beneath the tabs.
Customize Color-Scheme, Screen Tip and Language of Tabs
8. Select the Office button and go to 'Word Options.'
9. Change the color of the tabs by adding checkmark by 'Color scheme' and picking the color you want.
10. Customize your screen tip style by clicking on the drop-down list by 'ScreenTip style.'
11. Choose the displayed language for your tabs and Word by clicking on 'Language Settings...' then picking your language of choice. Then click on 'OK.'
