How to Hide a Toolbar
How to Hide a Toolbar in Microsoft Word
1. Click on 'View' in the top menu. One of the options will be 'Toolbars.'
2. Select 'Toolbars.' A sub-menu will pop up listing a few common toolbars. The toolbars that are currently active will all appear with a check-mark next to them.
3. Un-check the toolbar you want to hide by clicking on its name.

4. Click on the 'Tools' button in the top-right corner of the window. A menu will drop down. One of the options will be 'Toolbars.'
5. Select 'Toolbars.' A sub-menu will pop up listing all of Internet Explorer's available toolbars. The active toolbars will have a check-mark next to them.
6. Un-check the toolbar you want to hide by clicking on its name.
