How to Make Numbered Tickets With Office 2007
1. Launch Word 2007 and open a new, blank document.
2. Insert a table by selecting \"Table\" under the \"Insert\" tab and choose \"Insert Table.\" Type the number of rows and columns before clicking the \"OK\" button.
3. Type the contents of the ticket in the first cell of the table. If desired, insert a graphic or logo by selecting an option from the \"Illustrations\" category under the \"Insert\" tab and choosing the type of image (e.g., \"Clip Art\" or \"Picture from File\").
4. Highlight the contents of the first cell and copy it to the clipboard by pressing and holding the \"Control\" key and then pressing the \"C\" key; release all keys.
5. Click to the next cell in the table and paste the ticket contents by pressing and holding the \"Control\" key and then pressing the \"V\" key. Release all keys and repeat this step for each cell in the table.
6. Click the desired location on the first cell to insert the numbered sequence.
7. Select \"Field\" under \"Quick Parts\" (\"Text\" category) in the \"Insert\" tab to create the ticket numbering.
8. Select \"Numbering\" from the drop down menu under \"Categories\" and choose \"Seq\" from the list of \"Field Names.\"
9. Type \"ticketnum\" after \"SEQ\" under the \"Advanced Field Properties\" section to name the automatic numbering sequence.
10. Click the \"Options\" button and then click the tab for \"Field Specific Switches.\" Select the \"\\r\" switch.
11. Click the \"Add to Field\" button and type the starting number for the sequence, such as \"100\" before clicking the \"OK\" button twice to close the dialog box.
12. Click the second cell (ticket) in the table to continue with the numbered sequence programming.
13. Select \"Field\" under \"Quick Parts\" in the \"Insert\" tab and select the \"Seq\" field name (under the \"Numbering\" category).
14. Type \"ticketnum\" after \"SEQ\" under the \"Advanced Field Properties\" section and then click the \"Options\" button.
15. Click the \"Field Specific Switches\" tab, choose the \"\\n\" switch and click the \"OK\" button twice.
16. Highlight this field code entry and copy it to the clipboard.
17. Navigate to the next cell in the table and paste the entry. Repeat for remaining cells in the table.
18. Press and hold the \"Control\" key and press the \"A\" key to highlight the contents of the page. Press and hold the \"Shift\" key and then press the F9 key to update the field codes.
19. Select \"Print Preview\" from the \"Print\" command under the Office ribbon to preview the page.
20. FInalize the layout of the tickets using the formatting options in the toolbar (e.g., removing the table's borders and fine-tuning the alignment), if desired, before printing the tickets.
