How to Enable Inking on a Laptop
1. Plug your tablet into a USB port on your laptop and install the software that came with your tablet. You may need to restart your PC for Windows to recognize your tablet and pen.
2. Click "Start," then click "Control Panel." Double-click "Programs and Features." Click the "Turn Windows features on and off" link on the left-hand side of the window.
3. Place a check mark next to "Tablet PC Optional Components." Click "OK." Wait for Windows to enable Tablet PC, then click "Restart Now."
4. Click "Start," then click "All Programs." Click "Microsoft Office," then click the Office program you want to use ink tools in.
5. Click "Review," then click the "Start Inking" button, located on the far right-hand side of the program.
