How to Convert Microsoft Word 2007 to 2003


Using Microsoft Word 2007
1. Open Microsoft Word 2007.
2. Click the round 'Office' button in the top-left corner of the program and select 'Open.' Locate your DOCX file in the resulting file window and double-click its icon.
3. Click the 'Office' button again and select 'Save As.'
4. Click the 'Save as type' drop-down menu and select the 'Word 97-2003 Document' option.
5. Click 'Save' to convert the file.
Using OpenOffice.org 3 Writer
6. Open OpenOffice.org 3 Writer.
7. Click 'File' in the top menu bar and select 'Open.' Locate your DOCX file in the resulting file window and double-click its icon.
8. Click 'File' again and select 'Save As.'
9. Click the 'Save as type' drop-down menu and select the 'Microsoft Word 97/2000/XP (.doc)' option.
10. Click 'Save' to convert the file.
Using Zamzar
11. Open a Web browser and log on to the Zamzar website.
12. Click the 'Choose File' button. Locate your DOCX file in the resulting file window and double-click its icon.
13. Click the 'Choose the format to convert to' drop-down menu and select the 'doc' option.
14. Enter your email address in the neighboring field.
15. Click the 'Convert' button to convert the file. Once the process completes, a download link will be sent to the email address you provided.
