How to Scan Letters Into Word 2007
1. Scan the letter to TIFF format according to your scanner’s instructions. If the TIFF output format is not available, use Microsoft Paint to convert it. Launch Paint and open the file. Click the “File” menu and select the “Save As” option, which opens a separate window. Click the “Save as Type” menu and select the “TIFF” option. Click the “Save” button.
2. Open the Microsoft Document Imaging software. Click the “File” menu and select “Open,” which opens a separate window. Click the “Look In” menu to find the folder in which the TIFF file is saved. Select the TIFF file and click the “Open” button. Press the “Control” and “A” keys on the keyboard at the same time, which selects the entire TIFF. Press the “Control” and “C” keys on the keyboard at the same time to copy the TIFF.
3. Open Word 2007. Click the “Microsoft Office” button and select “New,” which opens a separate window. Click “Blank Document” and select “Create” to open a blank document. Press the “Control” and “V” keys on the keyboard at the same time to transfer the material from the scanned letter to Word 2007.
