How to Make a Font Size Larger on Microsoft Word


Word 2007
1. Open the Word document that has the text you want to make larger.
2. Use your mouse to highlight the text you want to change to a larger font size. To highlight an entire document, hold down "CTRL" and "A" at the same time.
3. Click the "Home" tab located at the Word ribbon at the top of the page and look to the "Font" section. You can change font style and size here.
4. Click the arrow next to the font size and select a larger size from the list. You can also type a custom size. The text will change to the larger font size you selected.
Word 2002 and 2003
5. Open the Word document that has the font size you want to modify.
6. Highlight the text that you want to change to a larger font size. Hold down "CTRL" and "A" at the same time to select the entire document.
7. Click the "Format" tab at the top of the page and select "Font" from the drop-down menu. The "Font" dialog box will open.
8. Select a larger font size from the "Size" list. You can also type the font size you wish to use in the "Size" box.
9. Click "OK." The text you selected will show up in a larger font size now.
