How to Remove an Underline From an Error in Word


Single Error
1. Locate the underlined error you wish to ignore.
2. Right-click the error. A drop-down menu appears.
3. Click 'Ignore.' The underline disappears.
Ignore Underlines in a Section
4. Highlight the text for which you want to ignore spelling and grammar errors.
5. Click 'Review' in the tabs list at the top of the program.
6. Click the 'Language' button in the Ribbon. A menu opens.
7. Click 'Set Proofing Language' from the 'Language' menu.
8. Place a check next to 'Do not Check Spelling or Grammar,' and then click 'OK.'
