How to Open a Document in Microsoft Word Using Quick Steps
Opening a Word Document
1. Turn on your computer and open the program Microsoft Word.
2. Look at the top, left corner and you will see a line of icons that should look like a blank piece of paper, a floppy disk, a manila folder and a printer. Click on the manila folder once; for newer versions of Windows, click on the Home button in the top, left next to the floppy disk to find the folder.
3. Scroll through the list of documents that Word has brought up in the file, or type in the document's name in the search bar near the bottom; for Macs, the search bar is at the top.
4. Double-click on your document and it will bring you back to the main hub with your document opened.
