How to Open Microsoft Word Using Gmail


1. Open your Gmail account by entering Gmail.com into your web browser. Open your account by entering your e-mail address and your password.
2. Select any outgoing, incoming or draft messages that contain Word documents as attachments.
3. Right-click the attachment within the e-mail and select 'Open As.' A menu will pop-up giving you options how you would like to open the attachment.
4. Change the title of the attachment so that the end of the document reads '.doc' after the title. The title may already be in .doc format, or you may have to change it.
5. Select 'Open' next to the title tab and your document will be opened in Microsoft Word from your Gmail account.
