How to Add a Pop Up Calendar to a Date in a Word Document
Activate the Developer Tab
1. Open Word, then click the 'File Tab.'
2. Click 'Options' and select 'Customize Ribbon.'
3. Check the box called 'Developer' in the 'Main Tabs' window. Click 'OK.' Word will display the 'Developer' tab at the end of the ribbon.
Add Pop Up Calendar
4. Open the Word document to which you want to add a pop up calendar.
5. Type the label 'Date:' or a similar label in your desired location in the document, or, if you already have an existing label or text, place your cursor after that text.
6. Click 'Developer' on the ribbon, and then click 'Design Mode.'
7. Click the small calendar icon in the Controls group. Word will insert a field with the words, 'Click here to enter a date.' The user will be able either to type a date or click the down arrow at the end of the field to select a date from a pop up calendar.
8. Click the 'Properties' button in the Controls group to format the date field if you do not like the defaults. You can enter a different date format, give your field a title and a tag, and select whether you want to lock the control field. Click 'OK' when you are satisfied.
9. Click 'Design Mode' to return to editing your document.
